Robby Valderrama
Robby Valderrama is the founder and lead producer at Spring Hill Studios, a Nashville-based recording studio and artist development agency.
As a creative, he's a sought-after songwriter, choir director, multi-instrumentalist and singer who has spent time in studios and on stages with many of today’s most influential Christian music artists.
He is passionate about Jesus, ethical business, Kingdom diversity, pickleball, and his family.

Do I have to be an experienced writer to join?
Nope! You do have to be a graduate of the Worship Songwriting Mentorship to join Tiers 2 and 3. This helps us ensure that all writers, regardless of level, have a shared understanding of worship songwriting basics.
What is the Worship Songwriting Mentorship?
The Worship Songwriter Mentorship is a 9-week online curriculum and cohort for Kingdom-minded songwriters to grow their craft and flourish together. You can learn more and apply here.
What can I expect from Weekly Office Hours?
Join our Weekly Office Hours to get answers to your questions on songwriting, production, admin, publishing, marketing, and more. This is included with Tier 3.
How does the Team + Rewards System work?
Each quarter you will be with a team of 9-12 writers, with a Team Captain. You’ll have at least 2 scheduled opportunities each month to write with members of your team (6 per quarter) + a dedicated team chat. You are welcome to schedule additional writes with people inside or outside of your team
Each time you finish a song, submit it in the Song Feedback channel. Each song will receive a Loom video with feedback. You will receive points based on the Quantity and Quality of songs submitted. This way both Effort and Skill are rewarded.
What are StudioBucks?
StudioBucks are credits that you can redeem with Spring Hill Studios.
Here are a few examples:
- Use 1,500 StudioBucks to record a Spotify-ready acoustic version of your song
- Use 375 StudioBucks to increase your % share of an acoustic version master recording from 25% to 50%.
- Use 129 StudioBucks for a 1:1 consulting session with Robby or Bria.
How do I earn points?
Most Improved Writer receives 100 StudioBucks (based on Improvement from previous quarter)
Top 3 Finishers receive 500, 300, and 100 StudioBucks, respectively (based on Quantity + Quality of songs submitted)
Top 3 Songs are guaranteed to be pitched by SHS to an up and coming Christian artist (based on Quality, as determined by SHS Staff. Songwriters may have an opportunity to own a share of the master recording)
